Veterinary Osteoarthritis Alliance Podcast Episode 30 - How To Create A Stem Cell Service For Canine Osteoarthritis with Dr Stewart Halperin

Dr Stewart Halperin BVM&S MRCVS is a veterinary surgeon who founded and runs a practice in Somerset, UK, dedicated to the management of pets with osteoarthritis using stem cell therapy.

In this fascinating episode, we uncover why Stewart was motivated to enter this area of regenerative medicine.  We discuss the process that Stem Cell Vet has adopted for the diagnosis and management of OA using, in particular mesenchymal stem cells.  Stewart compares the available cell types (such as autologous and xenogeneic) found in the UK.  He shares his recommendations on how stem cells could be brought into your OA offering in general practice.
